Test Market Grants and The John Cracknell
Youth Enterprise Bank
 

The Youth Enterprise and Micro Biz Team at Hull City Council has established a funding pot with the John Cracknell Youth Enterprise Bank that enables the issuing of a Test Market Grant of normally between £350 and £500, although more may be granted in exceptional circumstances, for aspiring young entrepreneurs in Hull until March 2025. The funding is available to young people within their first year of trading, or they have new business idea from their original one within their business.

12th January for a panel meeting on 23rd January 2024

for a panel meeting on 16th April 2024
17th May
for a panel meeting on 28th May 2024
14th June
for a panel meeting on 25th June 2024
26th July
for a panel meeting on 6th August 2024
29th August
for a panel meeting on 10th September 2024
4th October
for a panel meeting on 15th October 2024
22nd November
for a panel meeting on 3rd December 2024

The John Cracknell Youth Enterprise Bank is not just about giving financial support we also offer practical help with developing your business idea. The JCYEB works closely with the City's Regeneration and Policy team at Hull City Council.

It is essential that all the information that is requested is on the application form before they are submitted. If all the information is not on the application form, the application will not be considered, and the applicant will not be able to resubmit for up to three months.

Successful candidates will be encouraged to mentor future young entrepreneurs in the city, and to work with us in promoting enterprise in schools and colleges.
