Greenpower Trust Project

Project Blyth is a national project designed to engage young people with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects, which is heading to the Humber region, led by the Greenpower Trust and supported by businesses in Hull.

We are excited to be part of this project that will require young people, guided by their business advisors and industry mentor, to design, build and then race an electric car in 2017.

In addition to developing STEM skills, it also teaches transferable skills such as team working, communication and assertiveness, which can all be linked to The ‘Big 13’ Enterprise Skills.

At a crucial time in Hull, with the development and investment by many new companies, it is imperative that we have the manpower trained and ready to take the freelance opportunities that will be offered. Project Blyth is an ideal opportunity to claim an alternative route into this area of employment.
